The core business at
CPM
is the production of special cylindrical roller, ball or cage bearings. The main
feature of these bearings is the fact that there is no outer ring, as it has been replaced by the satellite gear
of the corresponding reduction stage. These particular products are mainly used in the various reduction
stages on planetary and axial gearboxes for earth-moving machinery. Using this kind of product, with
the same overall sizes as bearings that come complete with an inner and outer ring, rollers that are
bigger in diameter can be used, resulting in a higher load capacity. The advantage can also be seen on a
financial level, as these products are usually more competitive than the solution that comes complete with
both rings. These roller bearings are fully customisable so as to meet customer specifications based on the
individual requirements.
C.matic,
which specialises in the production of automatic fittings and specially designed products for the
pneumatic industry (made out of brass, plastic and stainless steel), has expanded its range of products with new
types and new functions so getting 2013 off to a good start with three new innovative products. The stainless
steel olive fitting for connections of up to 100 bar, which integrates the already extensive range of quick-
coupling and push-on fittings; the rotating safety coupler with release button made out of AISI 316L, with a
European profile; and, finally, the 8 mm ISO B profile safety coupler with release button, which flanks its 5.5
mm ISO B ‘brother” and rounds off the successful range of 5.5 mm, 8 mm and European ISO C profiles.

A.P.I.
will be presenting its range of distributors and electro-distributors at Hannover Messe. The A1
range of in-line valves can boast an avant-garde and personalised look and are a combination of
parts obtained from mechanical processing and others made out of thermoplastic materials so
ensuring a high flow capacity that is higher than the average of traditional spool valves. These
valves, initially available in all the pneumatic and electro-pneumatic versions measuring 1/8”, 1/4” and
1/2” are now also available in the various mechanical and manual versions, earmarked for both
in-line applications with 1/8” and 1/4” attachments and for being mounted on collectors or bases
in up to 10 positions. They can also be used with Namur interfaces. On request, the range can be
supplied with a conformity declaration stating that they comply with the ATEX 94/9/EC Directive, II
2 GDc T5
classification. ISO 5599/1 valves, made in sizes 1 and 2, are available with electric or pneumatic drive in all the 5/2 and 5/3 versions.
Later on in the year, A.P.I. will be introducing the new A2 range of valves for ‘island’ mounting, for Sub-D, 25 pin connection.
Bonfiglioli Riduttori
is operative on an international scale with solutions for industrial automation. It has
further strengthened its position within the industry of applications that require excellent dynamic
performance levels and the utmost efficiency. The new planetary reducers with reduced backlash in
the TQ and TQK series do not need any maintenance, whereas their functioning is guaranteed as
being silent and immune from any vibration for the product’s entire lifespan. Five sizes cover a
range of transmittable torques of between 30 and 1.200 Nm, meaning that they are able to meet the
requirements of most industrial automation applications. The main feature of these gearboxes is the
unmistakable ‘Italian style’, which is a result of the collaboration with one of the world’s most renowned
design studios. The particularly robust bearings and the specific technology that was developed for the toothing
of the gears and the internal toothed row mean that the gearbox is extremely precise and repeatable, as well as having a
transmitted torque with a high safety factor that remains stable over time.
