REVIEW
The research and development department at
Olab
has come up with a complete range of
solenoid valves that were designed to be installed in cooling and air-conditioning systems aimed
at ensuring the utmost reliability and preventing any fluids leaking into the circuit. Depending
on the model, the functioning principle is either direct or servo-driven and the attachments
can be SAE Flare or with copper piping that needs welding on. The outer seals are made out of
neoprene, whereas the DN gasket is made out of PTFE or Rulon depending on the model. The
coils, made to class H standards, are always fitted with rubber insulating seals on the upper and
lower end to ensure that the electric winding is protected against moisture.
For more than thirty years now,
OP
has been manufacturing equipment used for machining rigid and flexible
hose earmarked for the dynamic hydraulics industry. This year it is introducing a new addition to its range of
volume crimping machines: the Tubomatic V150 ES high-output die, which is just great for crimping flexible
hydraulic hose of up to 2 1/2” six spirals and industrial hose of up to 3”. This die can boast a swaging force of
300 tons, a maximum die diameter of 118 mm and a motor power of 5.5 kW for an overall weight, control
panel excluded, of approximately 1,200 kg. Included in the machine are the double-effect cylinder, the back
limit switch and electronic touchscreen control. Optional, however, are the pressure control system, the
speed control system, the data transfer kit, the electric pedal and the marking dies. The machine can also be
supplied with a special voltage and with any kind of special die in line with requirements.
As part of the business carried on by the Mondial Group,
Unitec
specialises in manufacturing special
cylindrical roller bearings as well as supplying high precision solutions for machine tools and industry in
general. Machine tools, the iron and steel industry and the paper-making industry are just a few examples
of the application sectors where Unitec bearings are used. In the machine tool industry, the range of
products is divided up into three main lines: axial-radial roller bearings for RTB indexing tables (and with
an integrated inductive encoder in the RTB AMS version), roller and needle bearings for SRB ball screws
and the customised XRB crossed cylindrical roller bearings. Within the application industries, Unitec
supplies Tandem bearings, that are ideal for the extruder gearboxes that are used to machine thermoplastic
materials. Finally, the company also produces cylindrical roller bearings earmarked for gearboxes that are
used in steelworks, cement-making factories, sugar refineries, as well as in the plastic, paper-making and
energy production industries.
Varvel i
s previewing a new kit used for transforming a standard reducer with the addition of an inlet
set aside for the motor attachment into a gearbox with a protruding shaft inlet. There is no shortage of
traditional lines, which include speed reducers with a hollow output shaft, the RN-RO-RV series, made
using just one basic body that is the same for all three product lines (RN – parallel shaft, shaft mounted
gearboxes; RO – bevel/helical gearboxes with a horizontal inlet; RV – bevel/helical gearboxes with a vertical
inlet). The basic body, when fitted with the appropriate inlet module, is immediately converted into one of
the three specific product lines (RN-RO-RV). The standard outlet module allows for the same positioning
for all three versions, plus greater flexibility, improved mounting ease and faster delivery periods. The
gearboxes come in six different sizes – pressure die-cast aluminium for the first three and grey cast iron for
the bigger ones – and have 30 reduction ratios in two or three stages plus outlet torques of between 180 and
3,200 Nm.
