amozzi SpA, a leading company
within the Italian Camozzi Group, is a
key player in the industrial automation
sector. The company was founded in 1964
and specialises in the design and manufacture
of pneumatic systems and components,
including: actuators, valves, FRLs, fittings,
vacuum components, panels and completely
bespoke special products.
In Camozzi’s recent history a new Fluid
Control Division has been established which
specialises in the provision of solutions for
the control of fluid, liquid and gas using a
combination of mechanical, pneumatic and
electronic components.
The Camozzi
philosophy of being
close to customers,
wherever they may be,
has led to a truly global
presence and the
provision of solutions
that are compliant with
local regulations and
standards. Camozzi’s
global network, which is
run from Italy, is present
across all continents
with branches in 21
countries. Camozzi is also represented globally
by 53 exclusive distributors. Most production
takes place in Italy but there are also supporting
facilities in 12 other countries strategically
located around the world.
The growth of Camozzi SpA is driven by a
clearly defined strategy which focuses on the
development of new products and technologies
which are made possible by the existence
of the Camozzi Research Centre, and by the
implementation of procedures and processes
based on the principles of lean production.
In the area of technical research and
development the company is investing heavily
in three key areas: the integration of electronic
and mechanical components for advanced
mechatronic solutions; the miniaturisation
of components to reduce dimensions whilst
also increasing performance levels and the
development of proportional technology to
ensure accurate and fast control.
Camozzi introduced several new products in
2012 including Series K8P micro regulators
which are part of a wider range of products
utilising miniaturised proportional technology.
Series K8P was developed using expertise
which was initially gained during the
development of the K8 miniaturised valve (a
directly operated micro solenoid valve with only
an 8mm diameter available in 3/2 way and 2/2
way, NC or NO versions).
Series K8P has been designed to offer excellent
pressure regulation, fast response times, low
energy consumption and a monitoring function
through the use of a feedback signal. The
K8P was developed to regulate small power
variations with extremely fast response times
and reduced dimensions. Depending on
the inlet signal (0-10 V DC) two K8 valves
are activated, in the mono-stable normally
closed version, to ensure pressure levels are
maintained downstream. In addition, K8P
valves can be used as pilot valves to control
the opening of high flow valves and to
proportionally check the power in
lifting systems.
