THE CROSSROADS
OF THE HI-TECH
The curtain is about to go up on Hannover Messe, the world’s most important
exhibition for the components, design and mechatronic industry. This year’s edi-
tion also sees pneumatics and hydraulics up among the main issues being covered.
As always, Hannover Messe is a showcase of new ideas in terms of products and
technological innovation and it also acts as the litmus paper for technological
trends within the industry. Hannover, April 8th- 12th, will become the centre
of the world for mechatronics and fluid power, thanks also to its eleven lea-
ding international trade-fairs. In
addition to which a number of fo-
rums, roundtables and networking
events are being held, in an attempt
at boosting an exchange of know-
how and skills on an inter-sectorial
level.
The main topic for the 2013 edi-
tion is ‘Integrated Industry’. This
theme is the guiding thread which
surrounds the growing intercon-
nection between all industrial sec-
tors. In the future, machines and
systems, but also semi-finished
products and components, will all
enable data and information to be
exchanged in real time. Besides
the technical and electronic link,
stimulating challenges for all sub-
industries are looming on the horizon, in search of a more efficient configuration
of the way they collaborate with each other. Hannover Messe will be a chance to
discover the importance that these developments could also have for companies
in the future.
The Partner Country for this edition is Russia. Interest in this country’s econo-
mic dynamism and high level of innovation potential is on the increase. Being
Europe’s main gas supplier, Russia has a strategic role to play if there is to be a
turning point in energy circles. Its participation as the Partner Country means
that numerous opportunities will be created, aimed at both intensifying business
dealings with Russia and strengthening financial and scientific contacts.
