Italian packaging in Mexico

The italian packaging sector will attend Expo Pack Mexico 2016, to be held from 17 to 20 May in Mexico City, the main packaging technology exhibition in Mexico. Italy will be present at the exhibition thanks to a Punto Italia stand, organised by the Italian Trade Agency ICE with the support of Ucima, the italian packaging machinery manufacturers association, to provide support for the italian companies taking part in the show, as well as informations for the visitors.

Punto Italia will host ten italian exhibitors, Camozzi, Goglio, Ilpra, Imeta, Laminazione Sottile, Officina Bocedi, PKT, Reda, Rejeves e Rotomac. Italy is at second place of exporting countries of packaging machinery in Mexico, with a share of 18,2% on local import, and a total value of exported machinery in 2015 by 120,5 million euros. Mexico is a market expected to grow by 5,3% within 2018, according forecasts by Ucima, with major growth in the cosmetic sector, by +6,2%, and in food and chemical industries, both by 6,1%. The 2015 edition of Expo Pack Mexico hosted around 1.000 exhibitors, in a total floor space of about 19.000 mq, and was attended by more than 25.000 visitors.
