IoT connection to the market with thyssenkrupp Materials new spin-off
Thyssenkrupp Materials Services has decided to make available to the market its know-how built in 15 years of digitalization and automation of its own internal production processes. The spin-off thyssenkrupp Materials IoT (tkMIoT) aims to support companies in their pace to processes digitalization.
One of the first core products is toii, an IIoT platform developed in-house that creates the conditions for machines of different constructors and generations to communicate with each other around the world. Materials Services has successfully implemented toii at more than 30 sites since 2017, achieving important annual production increases and reducing downtimes in some locations by up to 10%.
TkMIoT will support the transition to Industry 4.0 of companies by combining the culture of a start-up with the experience in industrial projects of a global group with more than 200 years of industrial history.
