Double disk brakes safety SEW

SEW-Eurodrive introduces the extension of the Functional safety range with the double disk brakes BF.. and BT.., for industrial systems and event technology applications, such as in theaters. The components offer increased functional safety performances, in order to comply with the severe standards for systems engineering with users working close to machinery.

The SEW solution allows to implement a safe brake system with two individual brakes on one single drive, in a compact and cost-effective solution, requiring less installation space, less installation work and therefore lower costs. Both of the double disk brake designs achieve maximum performance level e (PL e), compliant to DIN EN ISO 13849-1, with brake monitoring, wear verification and integrated diagnostic unit DUE ensuring the correct functionality. A special noise reduction system has also been developed for the BT.. double disk brakes, in order tu fully satisfy EN 56950-1 requirements, regulating safety in the field of entertaining industry applications.
