Coil fed laser Danobat in the cookware industry

Vollrath Pujadas, a major manufacturer of kitchenware, storage systems, transport and small utensils providing a wide-ranging service for the Hospitality trade, chose to buy a Danobat LB coil fed laser cutting machine in order to face the increasing request of different sized and customized items.

The Danobat solution allows the company to manufacture any disc diameter, used as raw materials, without resorting to outsourcing. The flexible coil fed laser cutting machine eliminated the limitations on shape and lead time that they encountered with previous regular supppliers, that manufactured discs on presses in diameters based on available dies. The introduction of the Danobat solution allowed Vollrath Pujadas to free up the space formerly used for storage and also save money. Each time they feed in a coil, the machine can meet all their needs for material uninterruptedly, i.e. without stopping for loading and unloading.

Danobat laser blanking solutions provide a wide range of advantages over traditional press lines, due to savings in maintenance and energy, the elimination of down times, space optimization and particularly its great flexibility. All the advantages make the Danobat LB the perfect system for medium and short series.

The field of application of the coil-fed laser cutting system is very wide, which is why the client’s needs must be analysed in each case: type of material and thicknesses to be cut, necessary production and characteristics of the workpiece, for example. This type of machine is then especially appropriate for the cookware industry, where discs of many different diameters must be cut.
