The Eplan Harness proD version 2.6 allows wiring and wire harness engineering with an intuitive 3D/2D software, enabling cooperation between mechanical and electrical engineering. 2D cable drawings are automatically derived from the 2D/3D design environment, specifying both dimension points and connection point, allowing for automatic dimensioning, saving time and ensuring correct results. Stripping lengths and wire coatings can also be defined in the design phase, and professionally depicted in the manufacturing drawings, providing a comprehensive project overview.

The solution also allows to predefine a fixed cable length, and during the design process the current and the targeted length are exactly depicted, so that users can recognize at a glance how the cables can be optimally routed, reducing variations and saving on costs. Elements can be grouped together, and component numbers can be assigned to cable units. Lastly, the connection to Eplan Platform and system openness to MCAD and ECAD ensure a continuous workflow between electrical and mechanical engineering, allowing for integrated working processes from the schematics to manufacturing, with easy of use and integrated data in every phase of the design and the possibility the directly transfer Eplan projects into the wire harness software.
