Vigel acquires vertical turning machines line from Gildemeister

Vigel Manufacturing Technologies, an Italian company operating in manufacturing technologies for the industrial sector and globally recognized among the pioneers of Multi-spindle machining centers technology, has announced the acquisition of ‘CTV 3rd Generation’ product line from the German company Gildemeister Drehmaschinen GmbH belonging to the DMG Mori group.

This technology has been developed by Gildemeister Drehmaschinen GmbH over more than 20 years to offer to the market a high-end solution in the field of vertical turning machines with pick-up spindle. ‘CTV 3rd Generation’ turning machines are chosen by prestigious players in the automotive industry – and beyond – as assets in their productions, with highest performance.

For Vigel Manufacturing Technologies, this technology represents a natural extension of its portfolio in line with the group’s strategy of carving out market shares also in the machining of round components. This transaction will allow Vigel to present itself on the market with a consolidated and recognized technology. The acquisition of the CTV-line enables Vigel to quickly enter the market and lays the foundations for future developments in this market segment.
