Ultrasonic technology expanded for DMG Mori

Sauer Ultrasonic, the reference facility representing the Ultrasonic technology series of DMG Mori, expanded its Technology Center in Stipshausen with an additional 900 sqm area, to be primarily used for the machine assembling and logistics. Together with the Lasertec facility in Pfronten, Sauer offers a range of solutions complete of technology and software for a variety of applications, such as in medical, watch and aerospace industry.

Ultrasonic allows the economical grinding and milling of hard and brittle as well as hard to machine future materials, requested in nearly all high-tech branches. During the Grand opening, held between 28th of June and 1st of July 2016, the company presented the world premiere of a complete manufacturing of a drill bit made from steel, inconel as well as tungsten carbide, on the Lasertec 65 3D, with integrated Ultrasonic technology. Beside a doubled production area, the facility project also include the integration of an embark point for trucks, as well as an high rack, so all machine deliveries and material supplies in the future can be easily handled not depending on weather. A new wing of the building have also been created to house an additional area for logistic and building equipment. A modern showroom in Stipshausen is at last serving customers for test trials, feasibility studies, training and seminars.
