Tanzawa named ceo Fanuc Europe

Shinichi Tanzawa has been appointed new president and ceo of Fanuc Europe Corporation, effective since September 1st succeeding former presidente and ceo Olaf Gehrels. Tanzawa has been cfo of Fanuc Robotics Europe from 1992 to 1996, and cfo of Fanuc Corporation from 2000 to 2008.

His extensive experience at both Fanuc’s headquarters in Japan and in Europe will strengthen Fanuc’s Europe organization, intensifying the direct support of european costumers by the Japanese headquarters of Fanuc, aiming to improve the competitiveness of its products and services. Fanuc’s goal in Europe is indeed to further increase customer satisfaction by strengthening its ‘One Fanuc’, ‘Service first’, ‘Genmitusu’ (strict preciseness) and ‘Tomei’ (transparency) value programs.
