The facility will aim to integrate <strong>artificial intelligence</strong>, <strong>digital technologies</strong> and <strong>industrial IoT</strong>, as well as upgrade the value chains of China’s and global energy industry.</p> <p>The Shanghai Electric-Siemens Empower Center will allow the two companies to empower three main high-tech business sectors: <strong>smart manufacturing services</strong>, industrial software for <strong>smart operation and maintenance</strong> and <strong>digital services</strong>. It will establish a digital center that aims to bridge virtual and physical experiences and an industrial incubator platform to facilitate future cooperation.</p> <p>The landmark collaboration also marks another step forward for the entire China’s energy industry, representing for both Shanghai Electric and Siemens Energy a move to further expand their business scope and advance the ecosystem of their <strong>smart energy businesses</strong>.</p> <p>In addition, Shanghai Electric has been granted an <strong>upgrade to BB for its MSCI ESG Rating</strong> as it continues to advance its practices across Environment, Social and Governance (ESG). Rapidly growing urban areas are indeed expected to represent 75% of the world’s population by 2020, and yet large cities consume more than half of the energy produced, emitting 80% of the world’s carbon emissions.</p> <p>The Dassault solution, based on 3D platform technology, helps to <strong>simulate the development of sustainable urban areas</strong>, under the perspectives of health and social services, utilities, mobility, security and public safety, facilities management and environmental planning, by putting people at the heart of the renewal process and enabling city’s officials, citizens and businesses to work together in a collaborative way. During the event, the company together with <strong>HTC</strong> presented <strong>Virtual Singapore</strong>, a <strong>smart city prototype</strong> realized with 3DExperience City, showing how it’s possible to <strong>integrate city data from sensors and systems in a collaborative environment</strong>, to virtually represent and manage a real city’s data and processes. The survey was conducted by ObSoCo in four countries, <strong>Germany, France, Italy and Spain</strong>: expectations regarding shape, emotional impact and informations brought by the packaging vary according to the country examined.</p> <p>French and germans have a more <strong>functional approach</strong> to packaging, with 32% of french seeing it mainly as a source of useful <strong>informations about products</strong>, and 33% of germans appearing to be more sensitive to the environmental impact of packaging, and preferring a lightweight ones to reduce the volume of waste, as the 29% of them asks the packaging to be <strong>recyclable or reusable</strong>.</p> <p>Italian and spanish consumers are more sensitive to the <strong>experience offered</strong> by some forms of packaging: in particular, <strong>connected packaging</strong> are considered a genuine advance, for 75% of spaniards and 66% of italians, and both give a high point to the wow effect of <strong>customized packaging</strong>. Also, a generation effect appears to influence customer’s attitudes, mostly in regard to innovation and reducing the <strong>environmental footprint</strong>: respondents in the 18-24 age range see connected packaging as a progress for health, and prefer to see light ones so as to reduce the volume of waste. The 55-70 age group is more interested in packaging that ensures the protection of the product, being then robust and reusable, to be reused or recycled. The regulations affect the methods for classification and labeling of chemicals, changing the parameters for identification of chemical hazard aiming to increase the protection level of health and environment, through the infos indicated in the safety data sheet (SDS).</p> <p>In particular, the regulation classify as dangerous several substances used in lubricants and mixtures previously classified as harmless, involving changes especially for low viscosity oils, actually considered hazardous in case of aspiration.
