Synergies in high pressure pumps, Udor acquires Hughes Pumps Ltd.ERT

The Rubiese company Udor, a global manufacturer of diaphragm pumps and piston pumps, has acquired the English company Hughes Pumps Ltd.

Hughes has been producing high pressure piston pumps since 1970 and boasts a range of very high technology and quality products. The operation will allow a further strengthening of Udor in the high and very high pressure pump sector.

“This is an entirely industrial project as Hughes represents the perfect range completion for Udor, which can now boast a series of pumps from 1 to 500 H.P. with pressures from 20 up to 2.800 bar – explains Marco Zanasi, president and CEO of Udor -. Hughes pumps in turn will strongly benefit from Udor’s widespread presence in the main world markets and both brands will gain further strength.”

Udor, born in Rubiera in 1966, is today present in more than 90 countries around the world and has its own distribution branches in the USA, China, Brazil and Argentina. The operation confirms the vision and ambition of the Udor group to continue to play a leading role in its global reference market.

Phil Cranford, current CEO of Hughes Pumps Ltd., will continue to play his role alongside Udor to fully exploit the synergies of this union.
