Steel industry, great response for wire & tube 2018

The 2018 edition of the two fairs wire & Tube 2018 closed with a great success and positive responses, with more than 71.500 trade visitors, increased from the 69.500 of 2016, coming from 134 Countries. A total of 2.863 companies from 67 countries showcased their technologies during the five days event dedicated to wire, cable and pipes, in a total of 16 exhibition halls on more than 117.000 sqm, some 7.000 sqm of space more than at the previous events in 2016.
A total of 1.442 exhibitors from 53 countries showcased their innovations at wire 2018, on space exceeding 65.000 sqm, while 1.241 companies from 57 countries were presented at Wire 2018, occupying in excess of 52.000 sqm. Over 50% of both trade fairs came with concrete investment intentions, and 70% of visitors were executives with high decision-making authority. 55% of trade fair visitors voiced their satisfaction at having found new suppliers. This year both trade fairs dedicated a special focus at the China Pavillon, to meet china’s expertise in both sectors.
Exhibitors benefited from the positive economical environment in the steel and NF metal industry, with investments increasing globally, in infrastructure, the automotive sector, the electrical industry, regenerative projects and in oil and gas pipelines.
The next editions of wire and Tube will be held together again at the Düsseldorf exhibition centre, from 30 March to 3 April 2020.
