Oracle team USA renewed its partnership with Dassault Systèmes, employing the 3DExperience platform to design technologically advanced racing catamaran aiming to win the 35th America’s Cup 2017 in Bermuda, following the two consecutive successes in the last editions.
The advanced simulation platform of Dassault will allow Oracle team USA to rapidly develop, test and perfect a technologically advanced racing catamaran, before it ever touches the water, taking advantage of the composite design, simulation and manufacturing applications in a collaborative virtual environment integrated in the solution. The 3DExperience platform allows the team to anticipate several factors and situations, crucial in competitive sailings, such as speed and stability, weather conditions and crew safety, virtually determining what will work on the boat, making changes throughout the development process and seamlessly sharing information among team members along the process. A combination of imagination, action, designers, builders and sailors to create the fastest boat possible for the 35th America’s Cup.
