Dassault Systèmes presents the simulation capabilities enhancing the latest release of Solidworks 2016, aimed to meet user’s requests. Among them, the ability to flatten any surface, even most complex geometries, easily identifying strains induced while forming shapes back onto 3D surfaces, and fast-track design, due to shortened times obtaining desired geometry.
Modeling flexibility has been increased, thanks for example to the faster creation of super smooth blends or curvature continuous edge fillets, to the Sweep command, creating complex swept shapes faster, to the Thread wizard, for accurately modeling of standard and custom-defined threads, and to Breadcrumps, for easy and quick access to any model without viewing the feature tree, reducing mouse travel. Mate controller allow to intuitively create and animate complicated assembly motion, while enhancements to Solidworks Model based definition and to Visualize offer more detailed outputs, generating high-quality graphics in order to more efficiently communicate with the production and for the marketing.
