Siemens introduces the Simotics S-1FG1 servo geared motor for servo drive applications, optimally harmonized with the Simatics S120 converter system. The system offers Totally integrated automation (TIA), making configuration and commissioning easy, prefabricated with Motion connect signal and power cables for easy and reliable connecting method of components. The components have electronic rating plates and the motors are connected via Drive-Cliq system interface.
The compact servo geared motor Simotics S-1FG1 offers high efficiency and low torsional backlash for precise and dynamic motion sequences, and is available in helical, parallel shaft, bevel and helical worm gearboxes versions, and with up to 25 transmission ratios. The helical gearing of gear wheels makes gearboxes run very quietly, reducing noise, and the small diameter of the plug-on pinion enables high transmission ratio at the first gear stage, meaning that in some cases a two-stage gearbox can be used instead of a three-stage one. Finally, the Sinamics S120 offers highly integrated functionality and scalable number of axes, suitable for a multitude of demanding Motion control applications.
