The Italians Sei Sistemi and Sadas Group announced a plan to merge into one organization called Alsiter – The automation mover, aiming to be a reference player for system integration in industrial automation and electrification with an international profile. The merger of the two companies will be finalized in the second half of 2020 (pictured, on the left Giuseppe Simonini, CEO Sadas, with Roberto Altieri, CEO Sei Sistemi).
The collaboration between Sadas Group and Sei Sistemi started in 2016, and developed into the decision to merge and create Alsiter, a new one-stop reference player in the Lucca area, in Tuscany, for industrial process automation in the pulp & paper industry, while the Imola site in Emilia-Romagna will focus on metallurgy, rubber/plastic and renewable energy.
Sadas was established in 2005 by two founding members. The mission of the company was to offer expertise and know-how to customers in the tissue business. Soon, Sadas grew to become a major player in the electrification and automation of paper mills for the tissue and pulp & paper industries. Over the years, the company has expanded its target, addressing several sectors including food & beverage, energy, chemicals and manufacturing. Sadas have also gained international recognition and succeeded in expanding its horizons and customer portfolio, achieving excellent results that led to the creation of Sadas Group in 2018.
Sei Sistemi is a holding with more than thirty years of experience in electronics and industrial automation. Today, the company can build automation systems for different markets, including hot and cold metalworking, pulp and paper, plastic and rubber, engine test benches, research centers, renewable sources, metal wire drawing and manufacturing. Sei Sistemi has a wide range of customers in many industries, with operations in Italy, Poland, the United Kingdom, Spain, the United States, Mexico, Brazil, South Africa, Iran, India, China and Russia.
