Robot controller Yaskawa integrated
Yaskawa has integrated the Powerlink interface in the DX200 robot controller. Thanks to Motoman Sync, Yaskawa allows to program Motoman robots in a familiar IEC 61131 environment, seamless incorporating them into corresponding machine automation systems by Powerlink partners, reducing commissioning time and increasing clock accuracy. Combining the benefits of both systems, the integration offers the possibility of programming robots directly from the PLC, taking advantage of the high precision levels offered by the linear controller DX200.
A separate operator terminal for robots is no more needed, since all data required for operation and diagnostics can be displayed and modified on the machine’s main terminal. In addition to increased productivity, it also allows to design machines or plants more flexibly. The DX200 is a high performance robot controller, equipped with a built-in safety controller in accordance with PL d / Cat.3, for up to 32 user-defined safety areas and up to 16 different tools, enabling synchronous control of up to 8 robots or 72 axes.
