Trumpf presents Performance Cockpit, a web-based solution for remote monitoring and performance optimization of sheet metal processing machines, achieving full data transparency. The data are recorded and analyzed in real-time, and prepared for the user online, displayed on individually configured dashboards providing the user key data always at hand.
The data host is the Trumpf subsidiary Axoom, thus the data are stored in separate and secure environments for each customer in accordance with the latest security standards, using proprietary servers located in Germany. Performance Cockpit can be used regardless of the user’s location, being web-based, and runs on all devices, such as PCs, tablets and smartphones, even outside the corporate network, allowing monitoring on machine productivity, with analysis for each machine in general, for individual shifts or over a certain period of time. Is it also possible to display informations and statistics on material use, with data about type and thickness of the material used, thus improving planning for material orders.
Sheet metal workers can also see the percentage of scrap per type of material, to analyze their efficiency in material use. At last, the solution makes tool use transparent, allowing the monitoring of tool usage and making easier the scheduling of required tool replacement. Production managers can then check wether all of the scheduled programs were actually run, or if there were any interruptions, enabling them to analyze the causes if necessary. The software, an implementation of TruConnect offering, is installed on the machine via remote connection by Trumpf, requiring only an internet connection and a current browser.
