FARO presents the new Vantage Laser Tracker product line for factory metrology, addressing challenging in large-scale metrology such as assembly alignment, part and assembly inspection, machine installation and alignment and reverse engineering. The FARO Vantage product family includes two high performance models, Vantage^E with operating range of 25 m, and Vantage^S, with operating range of 80 m. Both models are compact, and offer high portability with an integrated master control unit and swappable batteries that eliminate the need for AC power and cabling. Also, the devices offer an industrial grade wi-fi for reliable, wireless communications.

The FARO Vantage Laser Tracker platform utilizes the FARO RemoteControls technology, enabling users to control the system using a mobile phone or tablet, not only the movements of the laser tracker but also offering enhanced functionalities, such as live video feed from targeting cameras. It also includes innovative workflow management features, such as remote accuracy checks and programmable remote warm-up, so that the user can schedule the device to turn on in advance, ready for immediate operations. FARO RemoteControls also includes next generation functionalities where the laser beam can be automatically reestablished with a simple set of gestures, eliminating the challenge of a broken laser beam and the need to manually reacquire the target.
