IMI Precision Engineering introduces the 21 D electromechanically actuated all-fluid pressure switch, designed to monitor pressure levels in a variety of rail systems applications. The switch makes or breaks electrical circuits based on input pressure thresholds, and provides an adjustable hysteresis which allows falling and rising switching set points, providing safe and reliable switching. The solution is suitable for a wide range of applications, such as railway air brakes, pantographs, pneumatic tool turrets and marine drive control systems.
The device operates across a pressure range of 0,1 to 10,5 bar and temperatures from -40 up to 70°C, and has been designed to comply with harsh environments conditions, undergone extensive testing to exceed relevant industry standards. The 21D offers IP65 ingress protection rating, compliant to EN 60529, and a high number of switching cycles, with optimum accuracy and repeatability of +3% of the final pressure value, maintained over the whole product life. Modular design also allows different mounting options and electrical interfaces, with a wide choice of single pole and double pole switching logics.
