Omron introduced a whole range of devices for easier and faster control panels wiring and building, featuring LED status indicators, simple front wiring and Push-in Plus terminals. All the devices are built to a common design platform and all have the necessary certifications for exporting panels around the world, including UL (Listed), CE and CSA. The components are slim and present a smaller design, with widths of as little as 3,5 mm and reduced depth, allowing the optimize space building panels up to 20% smaller than using conventional components.
The Omron-developed Push-in Plus wiring technology provides robust and reliable wire clamping, reducing wiring time by up to 60% and the effort it takes to wire a panel, said to be easier than inserting an earphone jack reducing the risk of repetitive strain injuries (RSI) thanks to soft touch technology. Compared with conventional screw-type terminals, Push-in Plus holds firmly the wires in place using a patented advanced mechanism design involving a spring to allow low insertion force, while ensuring each wire has been fully inserted without damaging the ferrule (the wire material is not plastically deformed), with high pull-out force, yet allowing for quick release during maintenance or panel upgrades. The range includes electromechanical and solid state relays, I/O relays terminals, terminal blocks, temperature controllers, timers, measuring and monitoring relays, power monitors and UPS, for a total of around 600 different devices across 18 different product categories.
