Nissan chose Geico technology for the paint shop in Sunderland, UK, dedicated to the production of more than 3.000 vehicles, including passenger cars and SUV of the luxury brand Infiniti. The italian know-how and technology of Geico will allow to reduce energy consumption and running costs by 25%, as well offering zero water consumption and limited VOC emissions.
Geico, with the Japanese partner Taikisha, takes with the project an important step forward June 16th 2020, the Energy independence day, when the company will be able to provide its customers a completely energy-sufficient paint shop. The company also continues its involvement in the development of sustainable and environmentally friendly technologies, joined by social responsibility in its factory in North of Italy, with projects aimed to involve young talents and other companies in the production process, taking advantage and retrieving the know-how of 40 and 50 y.o. employees excluded in the past years from the production due to the crisis, in the context of new investments and opportunities now opening in the european market.
