The Fluid control division of the Automation Group of Parker Hannifin extended its portfolio of cartridge valves with a range of miniature solenoid valves, C7, C15 and C21 series. Available in either 2-way of 3-way configurations, the devices deliver faster response times and longer service life in space constrained applications. The 7, 15 and 21 mm valves are indeed 80% smaller by volume and weight versus standard threading solenoid valves, helping to ease design into space constrained equipment.
Constructed from high quality stainless steel and employing premium FKM fluorocarbon sealing, the valves allow use with a wide range of gases in challenging operations, standing an operating temperature range of 0° C to +50° C, compatible with dry or lubricated air, neutral gases and liquids. The miniature solenoid valves are suitable for a wide range of applications in markets such as industrial equipment, food and beverage processing and transportation. The series offer designers a high degree of flexibility, with versions for orifice sizes ranging from 0,3 mm to 4 mm. The devices are also customizable for a wide range of parameters, including voltage, flow, shape, material, cable length and connection.
The valves ensure a long service life of up to 109 cycles, thanks to advanced flat spring technology and a frictionless design, with a response time of just 0,5 to 7 mS. Low power operation of 0,5 to 2,5 W allows lower operating costs, with a 24 VDC operating voltage, with other values available on request.
