The Italian Matec Industries Group, specialized in the industrial water purification and filter presses market for quarries and mines, has signed a contract for the acquisition of Alfa Pompe, a historic Italian manufacturer of special pumps based in Verona
Alfa Pompe is dedicated to the development and production of special rubber coated pumps for medium and large companies in many industrial sectors, including mining, aggregates, quarries and civil purification. Created in 1971, the historic Alfa Pompe brand turns 50 this year and with a 100% Italian production in the operation unit of about 5,000 m2 in Dolcé, its brand has always been synonymous of quality, efficiency and, most important, of the Italian spirit.
The Veronese company brings an offer with contiguous and synergic positioning with respect to the current offer of Matec: over 1,000 customers and a growth plan which, thanks to the planned investments, sets the goal of the next three years to a turnover of approximately 10 million €. Alfa’s staff is made by highly qualified professionals and boasts an excellent R&D unit dedicated to the development and evolution of technologies with customized products for both Matec and any other customer.
“This acquisition represents a natural completion of our group’s business perimeter, further strengthening us in a strategic segment for our core business, namely that of high-performance pumps for water and sludge – comments Matteo Goich, CEO of Matec Industries Group -. We will pool mutual experience and skills, making the most of the business and the solutions acquired, continuing to invest in the evolution of Alfa products and in the development of the market, bringing the Alfa brand back to global competitiveness as a key player in a strong market development”.
The ambitious development plan of Matec will then ensure further growth and historical continuity of the company and the Alfa Pompe brand. Marketing and assistance will be entrusted to qualified Matec Industries offices throughout the country and worldwide, with specific commercial and technical skills, assisted and supported by a dedicated team part of Alfa.
The closing of the deal is expected by June 2021 pending legal authorizations.
