SMC enriched its gripper range with the MHM-X6400 for magnetic handling of workpieces with uneven surfaced or featuring holes, where sufficient absorption is hard to gain using a vacuum pad. The MHM-X6400 has a holding force of up to 120 N, keeping hold of the workpieces even when the air is shut off, ensuring reliable and safe movement.
Furthermore, the residual force of 0,3 N or less reduces cycle times and improves productivity output. The holding force can be adjusted by changing the type of bumper being used, made from fluororubber to prevent damage to the workpieces, delivering cost savings, also preventing the workpiece from slipping during operations. The MHM-X6400 series offers flexibility and greater process control, featuring three mountable surfaces and the option to mount auto switches.
