LMT Tools enters the TOP 100 Innovation award chart

LMT Tools has been recognized as innovation champion, being selected in the Compamedia’s TOP 100 innovation award, in the categories of ‘Innovation-promoting top management’ and ‘Innovative processes and organization’.

The manufacturer of precision tools relies on a wide range of methods, field trials with customers and cooperation with universities in order to keep creating bubbling ideas from which innovations can be generated. The employ of 3D technology is one of the most recent examples: the company’s EVOline tangential rolling head, a tool for manufacturing external threads, is partly produced using 3D printing. The TOP 100 company would also like to provide smart tools with sensors in the future so that corresponding digital data is available – a field with great innovative potential.

Another building block of the innovation strategy of LMT Tools is finally the intensive networking amongst the departments, which includes regular workshops that promote knowledge exchange. The research and development departments at the various global locations also exchange information on an ongoing basis, giving the 1.200 employees around the world a lot of freedom to come up with ideas.
