Linear motion, Rollon acquires TMTERT

The Italian company Rollon strengthened its position in the market of linear motion systems and rails with the acquisition on the Italian TMT. With offices in Milan and a factory located in Castle San Giovanni (Piacenza), TMT produces linear systems and rails, and is owned by Mondial spa. The acquisition expands Rollon’s range of linear motion solutions with a range of complementary products, especially the TMT’s Speedy Rail family. On top of the offering of TMT, Speedy Rail is a range of structural rails built in aluminum alloy, particularly resistant to wear in critical environments.

Thanks to the operation, Rollon consolidates its own position in the industrial machines sector and in application areas of automotive, ceramics, glass and metal industries, in addition to the packaging compartment. The acquisition marks a further step in Rollon’s expansion on the national and international market, following last year’s acquisitions of Tecno Center in Turin, Italy, and of the German company Hegra. With a 2016 double digit growth, up to 82 million euro in revenue, Rollon has an large international presence, with recent opening of a new branch in Tokyo and two others in Shanghai and Bangalore. The new branches are part of network that includes locations already existing in France, Germany and USA, in addition to offices in Russia, Brazil and the UK.
