Weerg, one of Italy’s leading online manufacturing services in the field of 3D MJF printing, has updated its HP Multi Jet Fusion machine park.

Starting from March 2024, the company led by Matteo Rigamonti can boast the record number of HP Multi Jet Fusion 5600 machines to produce thousands of components with delivery in just 48 hours, at significantly lower costs compared to traditional technologies. The HP Multi Jet Fusion 5600 was launched recently and only a few have been sold to date.

Specifically, the HP Multi Jet Fusion 5600 printing solution allows Weerg to increase production capacity by 30%, optimizing applications for flexible large-scale production. The strategic investment, aimed at offering customers the utmost efficiency through an increasingly high-value proposition, allows the company to simultaneously improve flatness, strength, and material uniformity and increase quality levels without impacting costs, making the service even more competitive.

The introduction of the new machinery also opens up new opportunities: while remaining faithful to its vocation for prototyping, Weerg also brings to the market a proposal dedicated to on-demand production, responding to customers’ needs to reduce inventory stocks, with consequent advantages in reducing storage costs and the risk of unsold goods.

Technically, the improvements correspond to better management of the thermal camera and roller to create more compact layers with consequent greater uniformity between downside and upside and better touch and feel of the produced parts. The machinery upgrade has led to an 8% enhancement in mechanical properties.
Furthermore, in response to the success of Multi Jet Fusion printing in the European market, Weerg has embraced mass production, particularly meeting the needs of those customers requiring greater standardization of 3D printed products, with a significant increase in production capacity.
