The mechanical industry in Italy grows by 1,3% in 2015, reaching a value of 44 billions of euros in the production of technology and components, according to data released by Anima Study office of Anima, the italian sector’s federation. Federation of National Associations of Mechanical an Engineering Industries. A further growth by 0,7% is attended in 2016, to a value of 44,3 billions. Exports also are growing, reaching the value of 25,7 billions over 2014, +1,3%, in further growth also for 2016, amounting to 26,1 billions, +1,4%, with a ratio export/sales of 59%.
Interesting numbers, as italian mechanical sector exports more than food and beverage, fashion and design joined, thanks to the high quality level of the italian technology, combined with the flexibility offered by italian firms, enabling them to easily adapt production to customer’s regulatory, social and economical requirements. Characteristics very appreciated in several strategical sectors, such as industrial equipments, food, water industry, energy and oil & gas. Stationary the figure on employment, while is confirmed the positive trend in investments, marking a +1,5% in 2015 compared to 2014, with a further growth of 1% in the forecast for 2016.
