Ensinger is presenting at the Milan MADE Expo the lambda-optimized insulating profile insulbar LO for metal frames, in particular aluminum, for windows, doors and façades. The profile has a thermal conduction coefficient of just 0,18 W/m·K, permitting a better Uf value when retaining the same frame installation depth, or a smaller installation depth with the same Uf value.
Ensinger succeeded in lowering the thermal conduction capacity by 40% thanks to the porous core of the profile: the glass fiber reinforced polymer blend (PA 66 and PPE) contains microscopically closed cavities. While having the usual smooth and compact exterior look, the special internal structure of insulbar LO, patented by Ensinger, not only improves its insulating properties, but make it also lighter than a solid profile. Insulbar LO also fulfills the requirements of DIN EN 14024 regarding transverse tensile strength and shear strength. Insulbar LO is precisely moulded and available in conventional geometries as well as in individual designs and styles. Capable of being processed in the normal way, it also permits anodization and powder coating in the finished assembly.
Ensinger is at MADE Expo, in Milan from 8th to 11th of March, at Hall 03, booth F23 G20.
