The rail transport technology trade fair InnoTrans 2016 had the highest bookings since launch, preparing high expectations for this year’s edition, to take place from 20 to 23 September in Berlin. Demand has been indeed for more than 100% of available space, exceeding the capacity of the Berlin Exhibition Grounds. It marks a great interest, and organizers are making every effort to ensure as many exhibitors as possible to take part of the event.
Important participants are also attended at the Opening Ceremony on 20 September, from Violeta Bulc, EU commissioner for transport, and national politics in Germany, as well as managers from main rail vehicle manufacturers, such as Alston Transport, Bombardier Transportation and the Division rail systems of Siemens. The 2014 edition recorded 2.761 exibitors from 55 countries, and 133.595 visitors coming from 146 countries. InnoTrans is organised by Messe Berlin, and will offer five segments, including railway technology, railway infrastructure, public transport, interiors and tunnel construction.
