E-Xstream Engineering, a MSC Software company, announces Digimat-RP/Moldex3D, a Digimat version including Moldex3D for injection molding simulation and accelerated design of reinforced plastic parts. The solution offers structural CAE engineers an estimate of local fiber orientation, for inclusion in finite element analysis (FEA), based on the integration of Moldex3D technology for meshing, flow simulation and fiber orientation computation. Fully automated meshing and solving functions minimize the inputs for the user, also guiding him through the process.

The integrative technology of Digimat-RP allows easy and accurate nonlinear analysis of components, using advanced nonlinear micomechanical material models and an intuitive user interface. The high efficiency allows to achieve multiple process/design iterations for parts optimization within a single day of work, for example for confident light weight design.
