The VI edition of the Master in Industrial Automation by the Politecnico di Torino, organized with Comau and Prima Industrie, just kicked-off its 2017-2018 edition on last January 16th. Financed by Region of Piedmont, the sixth edition will focus on ‘fourth industrial revolution’ technologies, such as IoT, Big data, cloud, augmented reality, additive manufacturing and the integration and interconnection of machines and companies, aimed to provide students the right tools and skills to face the challenges imposed by Industry 4.0.
The educational offer, successfully proposed since 2012, has resulted in Comau’s indefinite hiring of more than 90 young talents, and the new edition will start hiring 22 new employees in Comau end 3 for Prima Industrie, via high-apprenticeship contracts. The 2017-2018 edition introduces three different specializations paths, all marked by both classroom and on-the-job activities: one focused on innovation, one on product development and a more operational course focused in project management. Also focused on Industry 4.0, a new Comau Master in Manufacturing Automation & Digital transformation is set to start in late March, aimed at companies and managers who want to acquire the skills needed to cope with the digital transformation taking place in the sector of industrial automation.
