Industrial automation at SPS Italia 2019 in MayERT

Following the past edition’s great success, SPS Italia returns in 2019, from 28 to 30 May in Parma, to discuss the challenges of the industry of the future. Once more, automation, digitization, robotics and industrial vision will be the 4.0 ingredients of the event that brings together IT producers and the latest developments in technologies.

The eight edition os SPS Italia in 2018 welcomed 35.188 visitors, increased by +6% versus 2017, and had 808 exhibitors, +9,5% compared to the previous edition, confirming the expectations of the organizers, Messe Frankfurt and Messe Frankfurt Italia. With investments at last picking up thanks to Italy’s Enterprise 4.0 Plan, the Italian automation sector has posted an annual growth rate of 13.5%, with turnover skyrocketing towards the €5 billion mark. Industrial automation is now playing a crucial strategic role in transforming Italy’s manufacturing sector so it can more confidently tackle the future. In Europe, the Italian market ranks second to Germany, and worldwide the Country is behind only to USA and China.

SPS Italia will ensure three days of ground breaking applications disclosing the expertise shared by technology producers and vendors. An equally strong attention will be dedicated to the skills and capabilities required to push forward the transformation of Italian industry: the 2019 edition will bring a number of seminars, conferences and culture 4.0. Digital technologies are indeed the main focus of SPS Italia, underpinning every enterprise’s digital transformation, from automation all the way to the Cloud and Artificial Intelligence.
