Comau, a company part of the FCA Group, represented the Italian sector of industrial automation last March in Berlin, at the international conference ‘Digitizing manufacturing in the G20 – initiatives, best practices and policy approaches’. Spokesperson of the Italian company was Mauro Fenzi, ceo Comau, who focused on the topic of ‘Factories of the future – from global value chains to interconnected global value networks’.

During the debate, Fenzi addressed the issue of digitization in the manufacturing industry, starting from Comau’s longstanding global experience within the industrial automation sector. The ceo then focused on the major transformations brought about by the challenges of Industry 4.0 and the digital revolution, regarding the organization of work, production processes and the business models of companies. The concrete commitment of Comau addressing these issues is exemplified by the innovative technologies developed by the company, such as the Aura collaborative industrial robots, as well as the effort in developing new skills for the digital factory personnel through the activities of Comau Academy, conducted in collaboration with leading universities and international institutes.
