Hermes Award 2016, the annual recognition assigned by Deutsche Messe, will be presented during the Hannover Messe 2016, scheduled from April 25th to 29h. The award is assigned to products that have undergone industrial trials and/or already be in use in industrial applications, being particularly innovative in terms of technical and economic impact, submitted by exhibiting companies.
The Hermes Award boasts a PR package worth around 100.000 euros, benefiting the winner with great international recognition, giving a major boost to the winning company. This year’s winner will be announced on 24 April, during the Opening ceremony for Hannover Messe 2016, in the presence of German Chancellor Angela Merkel and US President Barack Obama. All the nominated products for the Hermes Award 2016 will be on display within the Research & Technology show located in Hall 2 of the Hannover Messe. The 2015 winner was Wittenstein, for its Galaxie mechanical gearhead featuring Industry 4.0 connectivity.
