The Italian company Rollon, specialized in linear motion solutions, expanded its production sites both in Italy and Germany, in order to continue growing in the sectors of industrial automation and robotics. The Group, which finished 2017 with 100 million euro in revenue, a growth of 72% in the last three years and employs almost 600 people, added to the Vimercate based factory a new one.
The new facility of over 6.000 m2, which became operational in January 2018, is located in nearby Arcore and aids the main production site, having been created as a new division exclusively dedicated to building actuators and integrated systems. The new location will allow Rollon to optimize its production and management process for the lines Actuator Lines and Actuator System Line. Greater efficiency will provide a more effective presence on the global market and the ability to immediately satisfy the needs of clients with a wide range of solutions for different sectors: industry, manufacturing, packaging and logistics, from automating machining centers and multi-station presses to sheet metal workstations, and pick and place operations in confined spaces.
Rollon has also decided to invest in a strategic market for growth abroad such as Germany, where the company has a branch with a new production factory located in Runkel, in the federal state of Hesse. Dedicated to producing the telescopic Hegra Rails, the site was opened to expand the previous factory, increasing the production area from 800 to 2.500 m2. The site will now be able to sustain greater market demand, while also allowing Rollon to concentrate greater efforts on designing customized solution with modular structures.
