Nord Drivesystems expanded its two-stage helical bevel gearboxes with a smaller unit for output torques up to 50 Nm, complementing the line-up of worm gearboxes already available for small loads. The unit offers high efficiency and resilience, withstanding large forces on the output shaft, with short-term overload tolerance of 275%, leaving enough time for the motor protection to kick in.
The drive can then start right up again without service interruption. The units are available for gear ratios from 3,58 to 61,88, adding a new size to the existing series now including output torques up to 660 Nm. The Nord two-stages helical bevel gearboxes are supplied with hollow and solid shafts, single or double shafts, for foot or flange mounting, and in open or closed design. All the versions offer high power density, robust reliability and easy handling, supporting reverse operation by default.
