Free robot training online with Universal Robots
Universal Robots launched its Universal Robots Academy, a free e-learning platform offering online training modules in robot programming. The development of the online resources aims to further lower the automation barrier, also reaching small and medium-sized manufacturers, allowing them to experience how simple can be the set-up of UR cobots, and envisioning what production tasks could be automated with them.
The hands-on modules are offered free of charge, open to all and built to deliver hands-on learning via interactive simulations to maximize user engagement. The online training modules are available in English, Spanish, German, French and Chinese, and consist of six e-learning modules that can make up the basic programming training for UR robots. This includes configuring end-effectors, connecting I/Os, creating basic programs in addition applying safety features to an application.
The learning program represents a long-term investment for UR, aimed to raise up the robot literacy and to face a skill gap in manufacturing industry, by facilitating knowledge creation and the access to company’s cobots.
