Fluidmec enters Rubix Group with acquisition by Minetti

Minetti, Italian brand of the European Rubix Group, has completed the acquisition of the Italian Brescia-based Fluidmec SpA, a specialist distributor of industrial products covering pneumatics, hydraulics, automation, gaskets and lubrication. The company’s business also offers consultancy in industrial plant engineering.

Fluidmec’s 100 employees work across six branches in Lombardy. The business delivered over €34m in sales in 2018. “This acquisition enables us to increase our portfolio of products and services – said Marco Minetti, CEO of Rubix Italy -, while giving Fluidmec access to a broader customer base, including multi-site key account customers”. Minetti is an Italian excellence within the Rubix Group, and offers the MRO market a wide range of products with 15.000 brands and more than 500.000 items, including bearings, fluid transmission and flow technology, mechanical transmission, installation assembly, compressed air machines and tools metrology.

Fluidmec brings its strong know-how in the selection of pneumatics, hydraulics, automation, gaskets and lubrication solutions and their related installation and maintenance. Francesca Piantoni, CEO of Fluidmec, said: “We are entering a new chapter in the history of Fluidmec. This agreement opens up numerous business opportunities and allows us to take advantage of the market leading position that Rubix holds in Italy, and across Europe. It’s a unique opportunity for us to grow and expand our customer base“.
