Fluid isolation in medical from Emerson

Posted 6 June 2016

Emerson presents the proportional fluid isolation valve miniaturized Asco of 22 mm, providing a secure isolation of the media from the mechanical operator, essential for analytical and medical technology (AMT) applications. The separation is achieved thanks to the Flapper technology, isolating fluids excluding particulate contaminations caused by friction or moving parts or alteration of chemical properties, minimizing heat transfer to the media and providing protection to the valve itself from harsh media.

Further protection of the media is also ensured thanks to the low internal volume, plus a self-draining feature, both of which make it difficult for the media to become trapped or stagnate within the product. The proportional valve has a tough peek material body, able to withstand even more aggressive media, increasing considerably its life span, ensuring safe and accurate operations at all times. The Asco proportional Flapper valve has a pressure range of 0 to 4,5 bar, and temperature range from 5°C to 50°C.
