Fittings Parker celebrates 25 years

Parker Hannifin celebrates the 25th anniversary of the EO 2 fittings series, the soft-sealed joint system ensuring high assembly safety and reliable sealing. The distinctive feature of the EO 2 fitting is the high-volume elastomeric seal on pipe-end, located between the inner cone of the fitting body and the pipe surface, effectively blocking the only possible leak path. The device ensures that even low-viscosity media, such as gas and water, are hermetically sealed. The special sealing profile has a particularly large cross-section ensuring effective sealing and fitting even under testing conditions. The system pressure enhances the sealing effect, making the EO 2 fittings very suitable also for high-pressure applications.

The component has a metric design and meets the established standards for 24° cutting ring fittings, and is available in sizes LL, L and S. EO 2 fittings can withstand a pressure of 800 bar (PN) for series S and up to 500 bar (PN) for series L. Due to this increased pressure resistance, the series L can be used in designs in substitution to series S fittings, reducing costs and offering smaller dimensions for tight installation spaces. The fitting has a special design ensuring an effective assembly, with the retaining ring using tried-and-tested cutting ring principle when it comes to the pipe wall. The fixed stop allows the user to easily feel when the assembly is complete, avoiding over-zealous or insufficient assembly. Leaks are prevented also thanks to the functional nut in which the sealing and retaining ring are permanently brought together, also speeding up the assembly process.
