Face HMI by Salvagnini recognized with a RedDot Award

The HMI Face project developed by Salvagnini and NiEW received a RedDot Award in the Brands & communication design 2019 category. From September 2019, every new Salvagnini system is controlled and managed with Face, a new human machine interface created in partnership with NiEW, a business designer and customer experience company specialized in the industrial sector.

The jury of the prestigious global competition, at its 65th edition, recognized the high levels of design, innovation and creativity of the Italian-made product, after carefully evaluating over 8.000 international projects submitted in all the different categories. The Face project started in early 2017, aiming to provide customers with a human-machine interface that was simple to use and available on all Salvagnini products.

In industry’s today scenario, the HMI plays indeed a significant role in the commercial success of any system, while the increasingly evolved digital approach of operators has contributed in changing their expectations, with usability and accessibility levels equal to those offered by even the simplest costumer product. Developed on the basis of a systematic analysis of the company’s customers’ habits, conducted in collaboration with NiEW, Face comes with a number of new functions, and nowadays the HMI is one of the most characterizing aspects of Salvagnini systems user’s experience.
