The innovative JSP’s Arpro expanded foam material has been used for the infant car seat Ultralite launched by Avionaut, awarded with the Red Dot Design Award 2016. Arpro worked with Avionaut to develop the Ultralite car seat, and the designed seat weighs only 2,5 kg, reducing by 30% the weight of Avionaut’s previous car seat model, claiming to surpass the i-Size benchmark for frontal impact head protection by 53%, thoracic spine protection by 40% and lateral impact head protection by 20%.
The Arpro material is employed in a wide range of other applications, providing lightness and durability combined to improved safety via higher shock and vibrations absorption performance, resistant to temperatures variations and avoiding humidity absorption. Avionaut is actually looking forward to new collaboration opportunities with Arpro for further future projects.
