Electric machine design increased by CD-adapcoERT

CD-adapco announces Speed v10.06, enhanced with a library that links Speed and Heeds MDO, a process automation and optimization tool developed by Red Cedar Technology, a wholly-owned subsidiary of CD-adapco. The link allows to create more efficient machines at a lower cost, with increased lifetime and reliability, deploying seamless multidisciplinary design exploration, covering a wide range of machine geometries and operating conditions.

In addition of enabling customers to take advantage of both efficient design space exploration strategies in Heeds MDO and the cutting edge electric machine analysis technologies in Speed, the release offer a number of refinements and bug fixes of existing algorithms. Among them, a new windage and friction and stray loss calculation, and a more user-frielndly node distribution dialog added to the GDF editor, that can be used to create new node distribution based on the actual geometry, with simple user choices and fewer manual interactions, to increase the mesh density where needed.
