Direct drive motors for robots, Genesis Robotics opens new office in GermanyERT

Genesis Robotics & Motion Technologies, manufacturer of LiveDrive, a high torque density direct drive motor for robotics and automation, announced that it will open an office in Frankfurt, Germany, to better serve the highly innovative and rapidly growing European market.

Matteo Stagni has been appointed general manager for Genesis Europe. Stagni has more than 20 years of experience in robotics, motion, and industrial automation in several markets and companies including his previous employer, Schneider Electric, a world leader in digital transformation, energy management and automation.

According to Stagni, the Genesis LiveDrive direct drive motor technology complements leading-edge innovation in Industry 4.0, enabling more sophisticated AI-based solutions in robotics and motion applications by transforming the underlying hardware. Genesis will be showcasing its LiveDrive series of direct drive motors at automatica, June 21 – 24 in Munich, including the LiveDrive LDD series integrated into ABIflexx’s delta robot, and the world’s first high-speed collaborative sidebot by Wyzo, utilizing LiveDrive’s features to create a collaborative delta robot without the need for protective barriers.
