Digital integration Siemens for Bosch

Bosch deploys starting from summer 2016 the digital integration adopting the CAD, PDM and PLM Siemens PLM Software solutions in its Electrical drives division, aiming to have an unified development digital platform for the global operations of the automotive supplier’s division. The extension of the Siemens NX and Teamcenter softwares, already in use in other business units of the company, is part of the strategic plan to consolidate the diversified tool landscape with a unified methodology for modelling, design and collaboration.

Bosch goal is to optimize the value chain of the Electric drives division introducing a modular toolkit-concept, enhancing digital collaboration between different departments across the product development process. Siemens PLM Software believes that the increasingly complex products today’s automotive suppliers offer require a systems-driven and full digital approach, in order to enable faster innovation, accelerated time-to-market and broader support for the Industry 4.0, securing and extending Bosch’s competitive advantages.
